Space Wars Explained was an entity that reviewed the Space Wars holo drama.[1] Around 10 BBY,[2] a small viewscreen in the quarters of the podracer Volo Bolus within Sornah's Garage on[1] the Mid Rim planet[3] Malastare featured a synopsis of Space Wars with an image of its two characters—Kane and Taryn—along with quoted reviews by Space Wars Explained and Holopedia, all written in Aurebesh. The quote made by Space Wars Explained stated that Space Wars was the most descriptive holo drama they had experienced so far and that they were interested for its sequel.[1]

Behind the scenes

"—specifically thank you to Stephen Zavala, art director and production designer at ILM who reached out to confirm this is in fact a nod to us and Wookieepedia."
―Alex Damon of Star Wars Explained[4]

Space Wars Explained was mentioned on a viewscreen in the 2025 virtual reality video game Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset,[1] developed by Industrial Light & Magic and published by Disney Electronic Content.[5] The entity was mentioned in Aurebesh via an interactable viewscreen, though capitalization was not provided.[1] According to the YouTube channel Star Wars Explained, artist Stephen Zavala—who wrote all of the in-universe text seen in the game—reached out to confirm that both Space Wars Explained and Holopedia were added as shoutouts to the YouTube channel and the free-to-edit unofficial online Star Wars encyclopedia known as Wookieepedia, respectively.[4]
