"Space Wars has the best, deepest and most detailed worldbuilding since Corellian Grafitti. The type of lore we love to analyze and archive."

Holopedia was an entity that analyzed and archived holo drama lore.[1] Around 10 BBY,[2] a small viewscreen in the quarters of the podracer Volo Bolus within Sornah's Garage on[1] the Mid Rim planet[3] Malastare featured a synopsis of the holo drama Space Wars with an image of Kane and Taryn—the two ficticious characters from the drama—along with quoted reviews by Holopedia and Space Wars Explained, all written in Aurebesh. The quote made by Holopedia praised Space Wars for its deep and detailed worldbuilding, comparing it to Corellian Grafitti, another narrative media.[1]

Behind the scenes

"—specifically thank you to Stephen Zavala, art director and production designer at ILM who reached out to confirm this is in fact a nod to us and Wookieepedia."
―Alex Damon of Star Wars Explained[4]

Holopedia was mentioned on a viewscreen in the 2025 virtual reality video game Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset,[1] developed by Industrial Light & Magic and published by Disney Electronic Content.[5] The entity was mentioned in Aurebesh via an interactable viewscreen, though capitalization was not given.[1] According to the YouTube channel Star Wars Explained, artist Stephen Zavala—who wrote all of the in-universe text seen in the game—reached out to confirm that both Holopedia and Space Wars Explained were added as shoutouts to Wookieepedia, the free-to-edit unofficial online Star Wars encyclopedia, and Star Wars Explained, respectively.[4]
