The Sorcan Swamp was a marsh on the Outer Rim planet Safrifa. During the High Republic Era, it hosted a Drengir that was terrifying the locals.[1]
History
In 231 BBY,[2] the mercenary Ty Yorrick visited Safrifa while being hired to liberate the son of a marsh-lord from a rival clan. Once she was done with her task, as she was about to leave the planet, two Safrifan farmers approached her, asking for her help in order to deal with a creature killing the locals' children and destroying their crops, in exchange for a small amount of novian ore. After Yorrick asked where the creature was located, the farmers answered it was in the Sorcan Swamp.[1]
Ultimately accepting to help them, Ty Yorrick went there to discover the said creature was in fact a Drengir. After being captured by the monster, she managed to free herself by using the Force on the plant-like carnivore. While the Drengir was trying to torture her mind, Yorrick searched for her lightsaber, which she had lost during her fight with the beast. She found it under the Drengir, pulled it and ignited it with the Force, cutting the monster in half. Aware that the creature was able to regenerate itself, the former Jedi proceeded to slice up the remains of the Drengir before eventually burning them. She recorded the scene as a proof her mission was completed.[1]
