Snow shredder bats were a type of bat found on the Outer Rim Territories planet Gigor. They inhabited the caves that riddled the frigid world's mountains, which they shared with jexxel cats and sentient Gigorans, as well as edible mold and mushrooms that thrived around deep hot springs.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, snow shredder bats were mentioned in Dawn of Rebellion, a 2018 supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying system produced by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The bats originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were mentioned in Creatures of the Galaxy, a 1994 supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2]
