Snow cones were a type of food available in certain shops on the planet Pantora, where it was advertised on the local signage, written in Aurebesh.[1]
Snoke Cones was a business specializing in snow cones. Its logo depicted a snow cone above[2] the holographic throne of Snoke, the Supreme Leader of the First Order, at Starkiller Base[3] on the planet Ilum,[4] with Mandalorian text reading "Snoke Cones" below it.[2] By 34 ABY,[5] the business was advertised on the chassis of the astromech droid R4-G77,[6] who belonged to the racer pilot Hype Fazon.[2]
Behind the scenes
Milestones
- "Remember that time that Ki-Adi-Mundi ordered an ice flavored snow cone (ice mound)?"
- ―Editor Tom Hoeler, on the snow mounds of The Living Force
Snow cones first appeared in the Snoke Cones logo in the Star Wars Resistance episode "The High Tower."[6] The logo's translation was first confirmed in a StarWars.com article entitled "Designing Star Wars: Star Wars Resistance." Although the article does not state that the pictured product is a snow cone, the name "Snoke Cones" implies the product.[2] While snow cones were thus established to exist in the Star Wars universe,[6] the ice mounds featured in the 2024 novel The Living Force by John Jackson Miller[8] were intended as a Star Wars version of snow cones.[7]
In the Star Wars: The Bad Batch episode "Cornered," the word "snow cones" appears, written in Aurebesh, on a street sign behind Fennec Shand as she says to Omega, "You seem lost." However, the letters are so unclear that you can barely make out their shape.[9] The sign reappears in the episode "Infiltration," where the characters are seen clearly.[1]
Non-canon history
- "Button-on snowtrooper armor that makes snow cones. But do you know what snowtroopers are sick to death of? Snow cones. (Or anything snow-related, for that matter.)"
- ―The Official Stormtrooper Training Manual
Snowtrooper armor could make snow cones
In the non-canon reference book LEGO Star Wars: The Official Stormtrooper Training Manual, snow cones are a snow-related substance that can be made by snowtrooper armor.[10]
