Skrats were a type of rodent-like creature[1] that it was rumored were used to make Turbo Dogs.[2] In 9 BBY,[3] while a pair of stormtroopers where discussing what to eat at the end of their shift patrolling on the planet Coruscant, one trooper suggested Turbo Dogs. The other trooper brought up the rumor, which the first trooper denied, but the pair then began considering other options instead.[2] It was speculated that Undercity Meats used skrats as primary ingredients in its low-quality production.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, skrats were mentioned in the 2023 Respawn Entertainment video game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.[2] The creatures originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they appeared in the 2006 novel Legacy of the Force: Tempest, which was written by Troy Denning.[4]
