The Undercity Meats was a location within the Undercity Industry district on Level 2046 of the metropolitan planet Coruscant.[1]
Description
The sprawling facility was dedicated to producing low-grade and shoddily made protein snacks that were seen as barely fit for consumption. As such, they were more popular with frontier stormtroopers and factory workers than bureaucrats or the Coruscanti elite. The content of the snacks was the subject of much speculation, with some suggesting that cheap and potentially hazardous skrat meat was sourced for the primary ingredients.[2] Production saw large slabs of meat being transported around the factory by overhead conveyors.[1]
In 9 ABY, Jedi Knight Cal Kestis traversed the facility while on the run from the Ninth Sister as part of his crusade against the Empire. As he navigated the factory, the processing operations continued and Kestis was forced to negotiate conveyor belts, crushers, refrigeration fan blades, and laser slicers. He fought multiple stormtroopers and purge troopers before escaping through the shipping and dispatch exit.[1]
