The Skorrupon system was a star system in the Trans-Vulta sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and New Territories.[2] It was located in grid square N-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and contained the astronomical object Skorrupon, where the New Republic pilots Wyl Lark and Kamala encountered a Twi'lek[3] by 4 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Skorrupon system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5]
The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Doom Mission," a black-and-white comic strip written by Archie Goodwin, illustrated by Al Williamson, and published by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate[6] between January 24 and April 17, 1983.[7] The portion of "Doom Mission" including the system was then colorized by Steve Buccellato in Classic Star Wars 14, which was published by Dark Horse Comics[8] in November 1993[9] The system was then identified in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[10]
