In 4 ABY,[3] a skirmish took place on the planet Kashyyyk between the Alliance to Restore the Republic, their Wookiee allies, and the Galactic Empire. The Freemakers helped to change the tide of the battle by using the Arrowhead to destroy their AT-AT and AT-ST walkers.[2]
Prelude
During the Galactic Civil War, the Freemakers embarked on a quest to build the Arrowhead, a ship that Rowan Freemaker believed could turn the tide of the war.[4] Following a series of adventures, the Freemakers managed to build the Arrowhead and save the Alliance Fleet from the Galactic Empire.[1]
The skirmish
During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance and their Wookiee allies led by Lieutenant Colvett Valeria and Chief Attiburra fought a skirmish against Imperial Army forces. Chief Attiburra managed to collapse a trunk on several scout troopers but the rebels were forced to retreat due to an advancing AT-ST walker.[2]
The rebels and their Wookiee allies retreated aboard an Auzituck anti-slaver gunship near a beach while Valeria called for help from the Freemakers. Despite navigational problems, the Freemakers managed to arrive in their starship Arrowhead and destroy the AT-ST walker. Valeria were able to force the AT-ST drivers and scout troopers to retreat.[2]
Before the rebels could celebrate, three AT-AT walkers advanced onto the beach. Kordi Freemaker tried to convince the Imperials to surrender but the AT-AT commander thought she was bluffing. Kordi then allowed Rowan and Zander Freemaker to deploy the Embersteel Blade against the walkers, beheading them. The Imperials retreated into the jungle.[2]
Aftermath
Following the defeat of the Imperial walkers, Valeria thanked the Freemakers for their help. The Freemakers returned with the Arrowhead to the MC80 Star Cruiser Home One where the Freemakers received a heroes' welcome. Zander departed for an assault on an Imperial repair dock near Alzoc III while Kordi was promoted to the Alliance's Strategy Council.[2]
While Rowan struggled to cope with boredom, he received a distress transmission from his Lurmen friend Maynar. Rowan and Roger departed for Qalydon only to fall into the Imperial hunter droid M-OC's trap.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Skirmish on Kashyyyk first appeared in the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two episode "A Perilous Rescue," which premiered on Disney XD on August 10, 2017.[2]

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Animated Series Coming to Disney XD This Summer on StarWars.com (backup link) places LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures between Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 3 ABY and 4 ABY respectively. "Return of the Kyber Saber" takes place twenty-three years after the formation of the Galactic Empire, which occurred in 19 BBY according to Star Wars: Timelines, meaning that "Return of the Kyber Saber" and all subsequent episodes in Season Two take place in 4 ABY, while any previous episodes take place between 3 ABY and 4 ABY.
