Disney XD (launched on February 13, 2009) is a cable and satellite television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company through their Disney-ABC Television Group subsidiary. It was created to replace the Toon Disney channel. Disney XD currently airs action-oriented children's programming, with its primary demographic being boys ages 6 through 14.
Disney XD, along with Disney Channel, aired Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars, a non-canon Star Wars-themed crossover special.[1]
On October 13, 2014, Disney XD began airing episodes of the animated series Star Wars Rebels.[2]
