The Silinese were a sentient species hailing from the planet Siline. They had crystalline bones, facial horns and teeth and diverse vibrant skin colors with matching hair and eyes. Because of their physiology, they were stronger and tougher than many species, including humans. In the past the Silinese were a warrior people, but in the High Republic Era, they became more peaceful and civilized and unified under one government. Apart from male and female, the Silinese had also other genders in their society.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Silinise first appeared in the 2025 novel The Acolyte: The Crystal Crown written by Tessa Gratton.[1] Gratton has said that they wanted to create a new simple species type that was different from others already present in Star Wars and so created a species of "crystal people" as they liked crystals since they were a child.[2]
