Shanto

Shanto was a Caphex archaeologist who uncovered the location of an ancient, abandoned starship, which he explored with his friends and colleagues Leeka, Pol-Adi and Tamanuki during the Republic Era.^[2] By 32 BBY,^[1] while on the starship, Shanto traversed farther into the depths than the rest of his group, which led him to be consumed by an oclatar. His demise not being viewed by his friends, they sent a distress signal which was later answered by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi.^[2]
