The Shalam system was a star system in the Inner Rim Territories[1] with at least one crimson star. Lieutenant Yrica Quell, a pilot in the New Republic, investigated the system as a potential location where the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing may have crossed paths with the New Republic several weeks after the Battle of Endor[2] in 4 ABY.[3] She found no evidence that any attack might have taken place and moved on.[2]

Behind the scene

The Shalam system first appeared in the 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron, which was written by Alexander Freed.[2] The star system was originally introduced in Star Wars Legends in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[4]
