The sapient gardens of Rhoremone were located on the moon Rhoremone, which orbited the gas giant Balagash.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] the Imperial Intelligence operative Haki Zeophrine accompanied Senator Bail Organa to Balagash's eighth moon, Balumbra, while Organa was investigating the Galactic Empire's framing of the Jedi Order for treason. After arriving on the moon, Zeophrine mentally noted that although it lacked the sapient gardens of Rhoremone and the moon Ma'a's fierce warriors, Balumbra was the most defensible of Balagash's moons.[1]

Behind the scenes

The sapient gardens of Rhoremone were mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
