"Rogue One" is a theme composed by Michael Giacchino for the 2016 anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Serving as the leitmotif for the eponymous squad, the track is featured in the film's soundtrack with the pun title "Takes One to Rogue One".[1] Much of the theme are renditions of the trap motif composed by John Williams for the 1983 original trilogy film Return of the Jedi. The trap motif figure is given a full statement in the lead-up to the Battle of Scarif.[4][5]

The theme is reprised for scenes accompanying future Rogue One members Cassian Jeron Andor and K-2SO in the LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars episode "The Good Stuff!," which was released on October 31, 2018, and composed by Michael Kramer.[2] The track was also used to introduce Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk, the respective actors of Cassian Andor and K-2SO, at D23 Expo 2019 when the pair discussed the upcoming Star Wars: Andor television series.[6]
