A leitmotif for the heroics of Resistance members led by Commander Poe Dameron was composed by John Williams for the 2019 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. One variation of the motif is broad and sweeping, while another is more brisk.

The broad and sweeping form is first played to succeed the dark side motif as the Millennium Falconcaptained by Dameron and crewed by Chewbacca, Finn, Klaud, and R2-D2shoots down a walkway at the Sinta Glacier Colony to destroy pursuing First Order Special Forces TIE fighters. Later on, the heroics motif, particularly its brisk variation, is played throughout the speeder-skimmer chase sequence on the planet Pasaana, as BB-8, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Dameron, Finn, and Rey fight off pursuing First Order treadspeeders and jet troopers.
