Michael Giacchino (born October 10, 1967)[1] is an Oscar-winning film composer who composed the score for the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He replaced Alexandre Desplat in scoring duties for the film, following Desplat's departure due to a scheduling conflict resulting from post-production delays.[2]
Giacchino also composed the music for Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, played FN-3181 in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and a Sith trooper in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker[3] and provided additional voices in Rogue One. His son is Mick Giacchino who is the composer of the 2024 live-action television series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.[4]
