Rigariam was,[1] by 382 BBY,[2] a dead language whose species was also extinct. Many transmissions from the Hutt species, however, continued to use it.[1] That year,[2] the Path of the Open Hand member Shea Ganandra intercepted one such transmission from a Hutt Cartel communications network, translating it to figure out that the Path was being investigated for their involvement in the Battle of Jedha.[1]

Rigariam appeared on a screen in Path of Vengeance, a novel written by Cavan Scott in 2023 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3]
