Renlo Waimet was a human who served the partisans of resistance fighter Saw Gerrera as part of the security detail at their base on the planet Segra Milo. In 5 BBY, he patted down the rebel Luthen Rael when Rael visited the base.

Renlo Waimet searched Luthen Rael on Segra Milo.
Renlo Waimet was a human member of resistance fighter Saw Gerrera's partisans during the group's campaigns against the Galactic Empire. He served as part of the security detail for Gerrera's starfighter launch base on the planet Segra Milo.[1] In 5 BBY,[3] Waimet stood with fellow partisan Benthic and another human member of the group at an entrance to[2] the hidden valley[4] where the base was located. When Gerrera's ally Luthen Rael approached the valley entrance, Benthic had him stop and ordered Waimet to search Rael.[2]
As Waimet patted Rael down, Benthic explained to the newcomer that Gerrera was in a bad mood. Waimet then discovered Rael's collapsed walking stick and took it, inspecting the device. Rael told Waimet to either return the device to him or put it down, causing the partisan to stare quizzically, but Benthic interrupted the search as Gerrera was waiting. Grabbing back the stick, Rael then followed Benthic further into the base, leaving Waimet and the other human partisan at the valley entrance.[2]
Personality and traits
Waimet had an understandable mistrust of outsiders and believed that Gerrera should have nothing to do with the wider rebellion against the Empire. He had dark skin, brown eyes, and shaved, black hair.[1]
Equipment
While at the Segra Milo base, Waimet wore a sleeveless, green jacket with brown fingerless gloves, pants, and boots. He carried a blaster rifle with a shoulder-sling.[2]
Behind the scenes
Renlo Waimet was portrayed by Leonardo Taiwo in the Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor's first season, with the character being credited only as "partisan."[2] This credit for Taiwo first appeared in the eighth episode, "Narkina 5,"[5] which aired on October 26, 2022;[6] however, Waimet is not clearly visible anywhere in that episode.[5] The character then appeared on screen in the eleventh episode, "Daughter of Ferrix,"[2] which aired on November 16, 2022.[6] Taiwo's scene in the episode was photographed at the Winspit Quarry, Worth Matravers in Dorset, England.[7] The character's name was then revealed in the 2023 reference book Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide,[1] within a section written by Pablo Hidalgo.[8]
