"So… which casinos haven't banned me yet? Relatta, Pavo Prime, the Oseon, Zirtran's…"
―Lando Calrissian, Smuggler's Guide[2]

The Relatta system located in the Inner Rim Territories in grid square N-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It was the site of at least one casino[2] at some point by 10 BBY.[3] When the gambler Lando Calrissian acquired the pirate queen Maz Kanata's book known as the Smuggler's Guide at one point by that year and discovered that it contained a map leading to potential treasure caches, the former—thinking of possible ways to finance the recruitment of help needed to retrieve the treasure—noted the Relatta system in a list of sites of casinos that at the time had not yet banned him from playing games there.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Relatta system was introduced into the current Star Wars canon via Daniel Wallace's 2018 reference book Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide.[2] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[4] The Relatta system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1995 West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Heroes & Rogues, written by Paul Sudlow and Rick Stuart.[5]
