Reena was a planet[2] in the Reena system in the Tapani sector of the Colonies[1] that was home to the eponymous Reena University. On Reena there was an annual celebration known as the Queen's Bloom Festival, in which citizens and tourists celebrated the end of the season of torrential rain by watching the simultaneous bloom of photoprotein-coated pollen from innumerable flowers across the planet. Notable celebrations of the event occurred at Reena University's fairgrounds and at an exclusive party in the penthouse of the Gorag Tower.[2]
Reena University was located up a winding road from a dazzling coastal city. From the coastline, one could appreciate numerous green islands dotting the blue waters as historic waterfront buildings glistened in the sun. Reena's main city was calmer than Coruscant, but still felt connected to the heart of the galaxy.[2]
