The Ragnar system was a star system in the Merel sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square Q-18 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Ragnar system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the system was first introduced in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a 1993 sourcebook written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4]
