"All right, Pinky–I mean, Qutee. This is your chance to shine."
―Colonel Meebur Gascon[7]

QT-KT, often referred to as Qutee, was an astromech droid and a member of D-Squad, under the command of Colonel Meebur Gascon, during the Clone Wars. She belonged to Jedi Knight Aayla Secura.[5] She was upgraded by the Parwan Doctor Gubacher to have a controlled, hovering super magnet to use.[7] Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[9] during the Imperial Era, QT-KT rejoined the squad to assist her old companion, R2-D2, in his fight against the Scourge.[10]

In 21 BBY,[11] during the Clone Wars, QT-KT and her master Aayla Secura were sent on a mission to the Secret Research Facility on an unmapped moon. According to a Separatist source, the Geonosians were involved in "something big" at the facility. While Secura quickly defeated several battle droids in the facility, QT-KT extracted the monitor's data in a disc. However, the disc was stolen by Asajj Ventress, who then Force pulled the astromech towards her. Secura attempted to pull the droid back to her, resulting in QT-KT's head disattaching. Ventress fled, activating the facility's self-destruct beam, before engaging with Secura in a lightsaber duel. Secura eventually managed to escape the facility with QT-KT's head, and the Jedi promised to fix the droid. QT-KT was in Secura's starship as her owner reported the mission to Jedi Masters Yoda and Mace Windu through hologram.[12]

QT-KT was present during the briefing of the Mission to steal a Separatist encryption module alongside her master. She was upgraded by the Parwan doctor Gubacher to have a controlled, hovering super magnet to use. In the vault she used the magnet to gather and disarm the swarm mines.[7]

After the Clone Wars

After Aayla Secura was killed during Order 66, QT went to Ryloth to live with Loris Cona, a friend of her previous master.[13]

Personality and traits

"QT-KT, this coil is a remote-controlled magnet. It can attract any metal object in a seven-meter radius."
―Doctor Gubacher[7]

QT-KT was an R-series astromech droid with feminine programming[4] who stood at 1.09 meters (3 feet, 7 inches) tall.[6] She had a remote-controlled magnet[5] which could detach from her dome and hover independently.[6] When D-Squad broke into the Separatist dreadnaught, QT used her magnet to collect the swarm mines and moments later to launch them onto Aut-O's forces, once they reached the room in C-Deck with the encryption module.[7] QT also had a Rocket booster.[8]

Skills and abilities

QT was an astromech droid and was capable of performing starfighter maintenance and repair, as well as piloting the starfighters. She also was effective at information retrieval.[6]
