Pylat birds were a species of non-sentient avians[1] native to the planet Neimoidia[2] that were prized as status symbols. Some wealthy Neimoidians kept such birds in special cages.[1] During 3 ABY[3] the casino cruiser Morenia was offering a Pylat bird as a prize.[4]
