- "What do you think of this?"
"I think you wouldn't put a credit stick that valuable in front of me if it was real."
"So you're smarter than the average scum. It's counterfeit. I need your help to stop them from circulating immediately. If the Empire finds out fake credits are moving through the Pyke market..."
"I thought the Imps were more than happy to look the other way around here."
"The Governor may but the Galactic Bank does not." - ―Pyke to Kay Vess
The Pyke market was an area in the city of Mirogana on the Outer Rim moon Toshara. It was located between the Pyke District and the Market District of Mirogana. A merchant named Hen Puon operated a store out of the market[1] in 3 ABY.[2] During which Puon was tricked into distributing counterfeit credits by Crimson Dawn which drew the attention of members of the Pyke Syndicate.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] a scoundrel named Kay Vess confronted Puon about the credits while searching for the source of the counterfeiting after being recruited by a member of the Pyke syndicate. During the same year, Vess also spoke with an Imperial officer named Covell in the market who demanded that she pass along some information to Gorak Palas, the Pyke's underboss, in exchange for a cut of Palas's deals.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Pyke district first appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The location was identified as such during the game's "Counterfeit Credits" intel mission where the player is hired to investigate the counterfeiting. It is also the location of the start of the "Covell's Secrets" intel quest chain.[1]
