A splinter faction of the Pyke Syndicate led by Baron[1] Grott[2] had a Pyke Stronghold in a makeshift city that had constructed on Black Rock, the first moon of the planet Varl. Grott used the stronghold to secretly breed[1] Kayfoundo Kapa[2] while running the Varl Tournament as a cover until his arrest by the Galactic Republic[1] in 29 BBY.[3]
