Kayfoundo Kapa

The Kayfoundo Kapa,[2] Huttese for the "Hungry Hands", were a type of space-borne predator found in the Varl system, where they preyed upon members of the Hutt species until the Hutts fled their homeworld Varl to escape from the creatures. The Kayfoundo Kapa were drawn to heat and produced sounds that entranced their prey into approaching the predators.[1] In 29 BBY,[3] Baron Grott[2] of the Pyke Syndicate began breeding Kayfoundo Kapa on Varl's moon Black Rock in order to use them against his enemies, but they escaped during the Varl Tournament that Grott used as a cover for his activities and the star system was abandoned due to their presence.[1]
