Varl Tournament

The Varl Tournament was a podracing tournament run by Baron[1] Grott[3] and his splinter faction of the Pyke Syndicate on the Moons of Varl[1] in 29 BBY.[2] The tournament was a front for Grott's breeding of[1] Kayfoundo Kapa[3] to use as weapons, and those podracers eliminated from the event were fed to the creatures. Of the fifteen qualifying racers, only four survived and escaped once the Kayfoundo Kapa were released and overran the Varl Circuit.[1]
