The Primtara sector was a Mid Rim sector containing the Fashinder Prime, Gerres Gule, and Primtara systems. Mercenaries from the sector were known to carry a style of bandolier. Between 5 BBY and 1 BBY, the Partisans rebel group spent time on the Primtara sector astronomical object Fashinder Prime. In 0 ABY, at least two rebel troopers were killed at a Rebel Alliance outpost on the celestial body Primtara, also within the sector.

Description

The Primtara sector was a Mid Rim Territories space sector that contained the Fashinder Prime, Gerres Gule, and Primtara systems, which were situated in grid square P-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

History

By the Imperial Era, mercenaries from the Primtara sector were known for wearing bandoliers of knives.[3] In 19 BBY,[4] the operative Soujen Vak-Nhalis was rescued by the resistance fighter Saw Gerrera, who led a group of rebels called the Partisans. Upon waking up, Vak-Nhalis met the guerrilla Nankry, noticing that she carried a bandolier in the style of the Primtara sector's mercenaries.[3]

Locations

Between 5 BBY and 1 BBY,[5] Gererra's Partisans spent time on[6] the Primtara sector[7] astronomical object Fashinder Prime.[6] During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, the latter operated an outpost on[2] the Primtara sector[8] astronomical object Primtara.[2] In 0 ABY,[9] at least two rebel troopers were killed there. The results of the investigation into the incident were compiled in a report by Colonel Haxen Delto, which was included in The Rebel Files, a collection of non-electronic documents compiled by archivist Hendri Underholt.[2]

The Primtara sector in Star Wars Legends

In the current Star Wars canon, the sector was first mentioned as the Primtara-sector in the novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy[3] and published on February 25, 2025.[10] It was first identified as the Primtara sector in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix[1] written by Jason Fry[11] that was published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025.[11]

In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Primtara sector was first introduced in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry.[12] In 2011, the sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the Online Companion feature "Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim."[13]
