The Pits of Plooma was an astronomical object located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, in the grid square L-3[1] of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3]

Behind the scenes

Plooma was first introduced in the current Star Wars canon in the galactic map of 2016 Fantasy Flight Games' roleplaying game boxed set Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game.[1] The Pits of Plooma were originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the novel Children of the Jedi.
