"Getting pizza, Yarael Poof should do. All in favor?"
"Aye!"
―Yoda and the rest of the Jedi High Council, except for Yarael Poof[1]

Pizza was a type of food. One variety of pizza was calamari pizza, though some vendors did not carry it due to the existence of the Mon Calamari species. Pizza could be kept in a box for transportation, and could be consumed by Humans, Iktotchi, Togruta, and members of Yoda's species.[1] In 32 BBY,[2] the Jedi High Council concluded their discussion regarding the potential of training the Force-sensitive youngling Anakin Skywalker. Jedi Master Mace Windu suggested that the Council should recess to eat, upon which Grand Master Yoda proposed pizza for their meal. Yoda also posited that Jedi Master Yarael Poof—who had grown irritated after being ignored during the Council's earlier discussion—should depart to retrieve the pizza. The rest of the Council voted in favor, save for Poof who complained that he had retrieved coffee the day prior and hadn't been reimbursed yet. Nonetheless, he relented and agreed to go.[1]

After being asked to get pizza for the Council once again[1] in 19 BBY,[2] Poof obliviously walked into the High Council Chamber during the Great Jedi Purge while carrying a stack of pizzas, stating that he was unable to acquire calamari pizza due to Mon Calamari being people. Upon realizing the state of the Jedi Temple, Poof panicked, dropping the pizzas.[1]
