Peekpa was an Ewok female^[2] hacker for the New Republic, tech genius, and a superfan of the Wookiee Chewbacca after he saved the life of her sister during the Battle of Endor. She frequently operated a datapad.^[1] In 7 ABY,^[4] Peekpa worked for the Digital Warfare Department and was in a crew with Chewbacca, Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, Kaasha Bateen, and Taka Jamoreesa and embarked on a mission to track down Fyzen Gor.^[1]

During 4 ABY, Peekpa took advantage of the increased Imperial presence on Endor to steal their advanced technologies to fuel her special projects. Stealing the head of an All Terrain Scout Transport, parts from a crashed 74-Z speeder bike and several other miscellaneous pieces of scrap, she was able to construct her very own hotchpotch spaceship. With the ship complete, Peekpa gathered the members of her tribe to bear witness as she activated the engines for the first time. She then departed Endor to travel the Galaxy and satisfy her endless curiosity.^[3]

By 7 ABY, Peekpa's genius had been recognised by the New Republic, earning her a rare status among her people by becoming a member of the New Republic's Digital Warfare Department on Chandrila. There she was able to work under the chief of cyberwarfare himself, Conder Kyl, learning even more about technology, notably how to slice into computers. When New Republic heroes, Lando Calrissian and Han Solo, met with Conder to find a slicer to help them retrieve the Phylanx Redux Transmitter, the chief of cyberwarfare recommended Peepka for the mission. Peekpa was initially stubborn to join Han and Lando's mission, however, the Ewok was convinced to join under the condition that the legendary Chewbacca came with them.^[1]

Peekpa travelled with Han and Lando's motley crew aboard a modified ZV-9 freighter known as the Vermillion to Substation Grimdock in the Expansion Region. There, Peekpa used her credentials to pose as an official from the Department of Prisons on Chandrila; this allowed the team to infiltrate the Grimdock Archive where Peekpa could search for the Phylanx Redux Transmitter. Yet despite Peekpa's talent as a slicer, her search through the archives alerted members of the private security force, Sef Con, to the presence of infiltrators. Thus, a firefight broke out and the team was ambushed by attack creatures owned by Sef Con known as forosnags. Before the team was overrun, Peekpa sliced the controls of several automated floor panels, prompting them to open up and drop the forosnags into Grimdock's twelfth subsector. After dealing with more Sef Con security troopers, and a pack of bastaks, Peekpa and the rest of the team successfully escape Grimdock aboard the Vermillion.^[1]
