Patriim was a world in the galaxy. Despite being considered strategically insignificant, shortly before the Battle of Scarif it was the location of a major tactical deployment of Imperial forces, subject to frequent communications blackouts and the source of several encrypted Imperial Military Department of Advanced Weapons Research communiques referring to the Death Star project. For these reasons, it caught the attention of Alliance Intelligence,[5] who sent Captain Cassian Andor to investigate reports that the Empire was transporting kyber crystals to Patriim's system.[6]
