Plot summary
- "That hardware your friend is selling comes from a raid on New Republic trading vessels—on the Rimma Route, near Sullust. A handful of ships destroyed. Dozens of innocent traders were slaughtered. THE LIVES OF NEW REPUBLIC CITIZENS IS MY BUSINESS!"
- ―Luke Skywalker to Pyke Syndicate Goons
On a former Imperial space station, near Maldran, a Gran, Kacin, is trying to sell Power generators to the Shistavanen, Sattlar. During the deal, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker approaches the Gran to ask him some questions, but he calls out for security. Luke is immediately surrounded by Pyke Syndicate members, they attempt to persuade Luke to leave. He swiftly ignites his lightsaber, stating that the items that Kacin is selling are from raided New Republic vessels on the Rimma Trade Route, which resulted in several innocent people dieing. One of the Pyke Goons hits Luke on the head, knocking him to the floor. Having interrupted a sale, the goons plan to use Luke to make up for the loss, before suddenly being shot by New Republic pilot Rynn Zenat. After dealing with the Pyke's, they turn their attention to the Gran salesman. Reluctant to talk at first, Luke uses The Force to float him over a ledge. He informs them that they are Pirates hiding in the shadows, but they plan to strike again soon. The two New Republic agents return to their X-Wings, planning on using 77 Squadron to back up the supply ships in the Fenril sector and prevent another pirate raid.
