A particle stability converter was a particle accelerator that less dense but more volatile particles. When used in a blaster it resulted in blaster bolts having an increased explosive radius on impact.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the a merchant with the Pyke Syndicate offered a prototype of the converter for sale to trusted associates of the syndicate from the Pyke Crystal Mine on the planet Akiva.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess purchased the particle stability converter prototype for 1300 credits which she later used to the modify her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol's blast module.[1]

Behind the scenes

A particle stability converter appeared as an upgrade item in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The player must obtain the converter, twenty units of Slivian iron and ten actuating modules in order upgrade their blaster's blast power module to level four.[1]
