Pacification of the Esuain sector

The title of this article is conjectural. Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

Around 2 BBY^[1] during the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire launched a pacification operation^[3] in the Esuain sector,^[2] a sector of the Mid Rim Territories that fell under the control of Moff Ahr. During the operation, the Sith Lord Darth Vader was placed under the command of Ahr on the orders of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine, who wanted it to be a lesson for Vader. Under orders to follow Ahr's commands to the letter, Vader did so, repeatedly being placed into situations that Ahr assumed would kill the Sith. Ultimately, Vader brought about Ahr's death when the Moff traveled into the off-limits Kankalo Belt Containment Zone and ordered him to destroy the greatest threat he could find. Vader reasoned that threat to be none other than Ahr and ensured the Moff was killed by one of the zone's creatures.^[3]
