The Kankalo Belt Containment Zone was an asteroid belt[2] located in the Kankalo system in the Esuain sector of the Mid Rim.[1] It was inhabited by a large and dangerous creature, which the Galactic Empire chose not to disturb. Governor Ahr sent Darth Vader to kill the creature, hoping the Sith Lord would not survive, but Vader returned to Ahr's Star Destroyer, allowing the creature to kill the governor instead.[2]
