Osmanthus

Osmanthus was a type of plant. After being captured, the former Sith known as the Ronin woke up in a cell on the Imperial Dreadnought Reverent, whose gardens were styled to evoke a sense of autumn on the astronomical object Watoru. From his cell, the Ronin smelled osmanthus and other vegetal fragrances that evoked the sent of autumn, which he thought was strange and meant the starship's lord, Hanrai, was excessive.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Osmanthus was mentioned in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, by Emma Mieko Candon.^[1] In the real world, Osmanthus is a flowering plant in the olive family that is native to East Asia.^[2]
