"I'm thinking this planet's not gonna work out as a base after all."
"Seeing that the key part of secret base is the secret location, no, it will not work out!"
―Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus, as they dueled a pair of Inquisitors on Oosalon[4]

Oosalon was a barren, mountainous planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories.

Description

Oosalon[7] was a barren,[5] rocky mountainous planet[4] located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories.[1] The planet had an atmosphere breathable to oxygen-breathers, such as humans. The planet was inhabited by a non-sentient creature named the tibidee.[4]

History

"Ahhh, so that is why the great master Mace Windu has deigned to visit this backwater of a planet—to pass his sanctimonious judgment."
―Guattako, to Mace Windu[1]

Mace Windu gets knocked out by Guattako's staff.

In 34 BBY,[8] Jedi Master Mace Windu was captured by the warlord Guattako's army while searching for missing children that Guattako had kidnapped. After capturing Windu, they broke his lightsaber and were planning to broadcast Windu's execution across the galaxy so the Jedi's death could inspire many new converts into his cause. However, Windu was able to use the Force to reconstruct his lightsaber. When he met with Guattako, he fought with him until he was knocked out by his staff. When Guattako was going to kill Windu, a young child shot and killed Guattako. Windu and the missing children were then rescued.[1]

Around 33 BBY,[9] Jango Fett captured the gambler Fissark Tozan in a secret gambling den on Oosalon in order to collect on the bounty on his head for owing the Crymorah Syndicate a sabacc debt. After capturing his target, Jango dropped a thermal detonator on the gambling den’s remaining patrons.[6]

In 3 BBY,[10] two rebels—the Jedi Kanan Jarrus and his Padawan, Ezra Bridger—scouted Oosalon as a potential location for a rebel base. Instead, they were confronted by two Imperial Inquisitors, the Seventh Sister and the Fifth Brother, and engaged them in a lightsaber duel[4] on Oosalon Mesa[5] before escaping on the back of a tibidee.[4]
