During the First Order-Resistance War, Corellia was subject to an occupation[2] after it was conquered by the First Order, which wanted to claim the planet, its shipyards, and its factories[1] in 34 ABY.[3] Most Corellians displayed scorn at being subject to the occupation but[2] quickly[3] accepted the new reality. The First Order at some point had also annexed control over the Corellian Engineering Corporation.[2]

In 35 ABY,[4] after the First Order joined with the Sith Eternal and its fleet, the Final Order, and were defeated in the Battle of Exegol, Corellia was in open rebellion against the First Order.[5]

  3. 3.0 3.1 3.2 Resistance Reborn is set after the First Order has taken control of Corellia, which is depicted in Legacy of Vader 6. Therefore, Legacy of Vader 6 must be set before Resistance Reborn. Furthermore, Legacy of Vader 6 is set after Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. As both The Last Jedi and Resistance Reborn are dated to 34 ABY by Star Wars: Timelines, the events of the Legacy of Vader 6, including the conquest of Corellia and the ensuing beginning of the planet's occupation, must occur in the same year. Furthermore, Resistance Reborn says that most Corellians "eventually" accepted the occupation. As there is only a short time between The Last Jedi and Resistance Reborn according to the latter's narrative, with an even shorter time therefore occurring between Legacy of Vader and its events, this "eventually" time frame must have been quick.
  4. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the events of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker as taking place one year after the "Starkiller Incident." As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the Starkiller Incident to 34 ABY, it can be deduced the events of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker take place in 35 ABY.
