Nur was a water-rich ocean moon in the Mustafar system[4] of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was covered in sodium-rich water and had no natural land masses charted. There was also an apparent lack of indigenous sentient life, leaving the heavily secured underwater Fortress Inquisitorius, as the only known structure on the moon.[7] After an incident on Coruscant,[9] it was used as the headquarters of the Inquisitorius and to contain captured Jedi. In 14 BBY, the moon and fortress were eventually infiltrated by Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and Cere Junda, who were attempting to take back a Holocron stolen by the Second Sister.[8]
In 9 BBY,[10] Third Sister traveled to Nur from Daiyu and, on orders from Darth Vader, launched three probes to help aid in the search of Obi-Wan Kenobi. After one located him on Mapuzo, Third Sister, Fifth Brother, and Fourth Sister joined Vader on the planet to capture him.[11] Later that same year, Princess Leia Organa was kidnapped by Third Sister and taken to Nur. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Tala Durith infiltrated the moon to rescue the princess. The duo succeeded and escaped with the help of Wade and Sully.[12]
Behind the scenes
Star Wars Inside Intel: The Inquisitorius stated that Nur orbited[13] the planet[1] Mustafar.[13] However, this was later edited in 2023 to more vaguely state it was part of the Mustafar system.[14] Later that year,[15] Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide would once again place Nur as orbiting Mustafar.[7] However, the episode "Devoted" of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire shows Nur orbiting[6] the planet[16] Jestefad, with Mustafar visible in the background.[6] This is supported by a hologram in "Part IV" of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi showing Nur's orbit around a planet that is not Mustafar.[12]

- ↑ The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order places Nur in the Mustafar system, which Ultimate Star Wars places in the Atravis sector, and since Mustafar is located within the same sector as well, which is part of the Western Reaches according to Star Wars: The Galactic Explorer's Guide, it can be deduced that Nur is also located in the Western Reaches.
