History
During the Galactic Civil War, it was governed by Moff Ariss Lyjan.
Behind the scenes
Although the StarWars.com Online Companion to The Essential Atlas placed Fara's Belt in the Rolion sector[1]—information that had originated in The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook[6] and had been repeated in other sources[7][8]—The Essential Atlas Extra: Outer Rim Sectors feature of the Online Companion depicted the territory of that sector[9] and the location of Fara's Belt—as shown on a map in The Essential Atlas[3]—as not intersecting. Instead, the feature depicted the location of Fara's Belt as falling within the territory of the Nuiri sector, which this article assumes is incorrect.[9]
