The Battle of Quell was a conflict between the Imperial Remnant and New Republic in 13 ABY in the Quell system.

Background

Following the New Republic victory against Moff Getelles of the Antemeridian sector, the New Republic pushed through the neutral Borderland Regions toward the Hydian Way, border of the Imperial Space. The Moffs of the Imperial Remnant, fearing the shift of power in the region, ordered Admiral Gilad Pellaeon to move his forces across the Hydian Way.[1] Torn away from his campaign against the planet Adumar, Pellaeon brought his forces into the fight against the New Republic.[2] The Imperial forces defeated the New Republic in the Lucazec and Barison systems and continued their progression.[1]

The battle

In the Quell system, the Imperial forces once again engaged New Republic forces and inflicted them substantial casualties but this time they were not able to secure a victory. They were forced to retreat to the Celanon system.[1]

Aftermath

After the Imperial defeat at Quell and another in the Arda system, the New Republic launched a counterattack at Celanon where Admiral Pellaeon's defeat ended the campaign.[1]

Behind the scenes

This battle makes its unique appearance in The Essential Atlas. The battle is only illustrated on the galactic map of the conflict.
