The Nuala Marauders were a group of pirates[1] originating from the Nuala system[1][2] of the Mid Rim Territories.[3] The group was active during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Nuala Marauders' actions, as well as those of several other pirate groups, were supported by the Confederacy, whose leader, Count Dooku, encouraged them to harass supply lines used by the Republic in the war.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Nuala Marauders were first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Nuala Marauders were originally mentioned in "Aurra's Song," a comic story authored by Dean Motter and published in Dark Horse Presents Annual 2000: Girls Rule! by Dark Horse Comics[4] on June 21, 2000.[5]
