Nova Defiant was a Recusant-class light destroyer in service of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. It was shot down, and crashed on Innton II, a colony world near the Triton system in the Outer Rim Territories. The parts that the Separatists were able to salvage were brought to a nearby cave, and were used to establish a base before the end of the Clone Wars.[1]
Years later, a group of Rebels found the base created from the wreckage of the Nova Defiant and established a new base there named Defiant Core.[1]
