The Nova Defiant was a Recusant-class light destroyer that served in the naval forces of the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars[1] against the Galactic Republic.[3] The destroyer was equipped with several thrusters, as well as multiple electromagnetic sensor antennas, heavy turbolaser cannons, and a port-mounted neutrino radiator grille.[2] At some point during the war, the Nova Defiant was located in orbit of a green celestial body, while it also remained unpainted of the Separatist Alliance's symbol and blue paint,[1] which was commonly featured on Separatist warships.[4]

The Nova Defiant was introduced in the Recusant-class Expansion Pack, a 2021 expansion pack published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars: Armada miniatures game.[1]
