The Nouane system was a star system located in the the Nouane sector, an autonomous region in the the galaxy's Inner Rim,[1] that contained Nouane.[2] By the fifth year of Emperor Palpatine's reign, the system was a client-state of his Galactic Empire.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Nouane system first appeared canonically in the 2014 novel Tarkin, written by James Luceno.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Nouane system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[3]
