Nobillians[3] were a species of insectoid beings found in the galaxy.[1] Neeva and Neevaan were two Nobillians that lived on Nar Shaddaa and were enemies of the criminal Boggs Triff.[2] Multiple members of the species attended the Canto Casino and Racetrack on Cantonica[1] in 34 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Nobillians, albeit unidentified, first appeared in the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.[1] Although still unidentified at the time, Lucasfilm Story Group member Pablo Hidalgo nicknamed the species Glambug.[5] In the official ILM Immersive Discord server, the species was revealed to be named Nobillian by Lucasfilm Story Group member Leland Chee.[3] The species was named after Lillian Noble of Lucasfilm Publicity due to the work she did in the early story development of the 2021 VR video game Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge – Last Call to make the character Neeva a more integral part of the game.[6]
