- "Back off. If you attack me again, I'll strike you down."
"Oh, I won't do a thing. But my murdered sisters, they will have their revenge." - ―Cal Kestis and Nightsister Merrin
Nightsister Zombies,[2] also known as Undead Nightsisters,[3] were the Dathomirian zombies of the Nightsisters.[2] When the Chant of Resurrection was recited, they emerged from burial pods.
Old Daka, a witch of the Nightsisters, knew a magic chant that could produce zombies. During the Clone Wars, Daka used that resurrection spell to revive a group of corpses from a neighboring graveyard. That Army of the Dead participated in a battle to repel the Separatist forces led by General Grievous.[1]
In 14 BBY, Cal Kestis was sent to the planet of Dathomir to uncover hidden secrets left behind by the Zeffonian species in his search to uncover the key to open the Vault. Upon arriving on the planet, Cal stumbled upon the mysterious Nightsister Merrin. She considered Cal Kestis to be an enemy and sent out her minions to attack him. During their battle, Merrin summoned Nightsister Zombies to aid her.[3]
