Neftali was a barren cold and frozen planet located in the Socorro system of the Outer Rim Territories. It had crystal seas and ice floes. At one point, Neftali's underground caves were used by criminal cartels to hide illicit goods and to conduct illegal business, though[1] by 21 ABY[4] the remoteness of Neftali and the secrecy of the caves meant that it fell into disuse. After recovering the dead bodies of Dathan and Miramir in the Jakku system, Landonis Balthazar Calrissian, Luke Skywalker, Komat, and R2-D2 traveled to Neftali to bury their bodies so they could rest in peace.[1]
